Pranggokan dan Grobog

One form of food security practiced by the residents of Wonosari Village is storing it in a "pranggokan." A pranggokan is a tool used to temporarily store harvested crops, commonly used by the local community. Typically, a pranggokan resembles a stilt house but with open sides, having only half walls. Additionally, the pranggokan consists of a single large room, which is usually used for storing corn. Apart from pranggokan, there is another food storage medium called Grobog. Grobog is shaped like a box, resembling a chest, with a divider in the middle and two compartments. Usually, one compartment is used to store rice, while the other is for storing heirlooms, such as a keris or other valuable items. In the past, people frequently used this tool for food storage, but now it is becoming obsolete. The reason for abandoning the Grobog is that it is considered old-fashioned and less practical.[1]
